The land known as Verney Fields / Doverow Hill is located in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. It came into new private ownership in March 2023. For generations, the land until then had been enjoyed by generations who were free to roam across the fields and enjoy pastimes with incredible views all around. In February 2023 (prior to the current ownership) a Town Green Application No JB/77161 was submitted by Stonehouse Town Council. The map below shows the area applied for (in green), which includes the area up to the cliff path and the viewpoint known as ‘the rock’.
